Birthdate: April 26, 1982.
Parents: Will and Carol Shriver. Occupation: E-6 Staff Sergeant, 11-Bravo Infantrymen in the U.S. Army, formerly 68-Whiskey - Combat Medic. Steve was born and raised in Athens, Texas. He attended Athens High School and in June of 1998, enlisted in the US Army and was sent to Basic Training at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri. Upon graduation from Basic Training, he was sent to Ft. Hood in Texas for AIT training where he learned the skills of medicine in Combat. In 2003 he served his first tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom after the devastation of 9/11/2001. After serving his 18 month tour, Steve came back to the states and traveled throughout the United States as well as Germany and England. In January of 2005, Steve volunteered to go back to Iraq, and in October of 2006 was promoted and chose to attend Sniper School. Once he graduated from Sniper School he went back to Ft. Hood and became an assistant instructor in the Medical Unit. Steve served his third tour in Iraq February 2008-June 2009.
